Bluebell Railway Trip
As the pictures show, the Beavers thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Bluebell Railway in Sussex near East Grinstead. The railway boasts some ten working steam locomotives of ranging sizes and age - the oldest having been built over 130 years ago. For youngsters who don't remember steam trains on our mainlines, this provides a fascinating look back into the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone era.

The organizers were Esther Parks helped by Cathy Prior with Clifford Smith seconded from the Scouts section as coach driver for the day. The fine sunny weather also helped to make the day a memorable one for all.
