Group Executive

The Executive Committee consists of Uniformed Leaders, representing each of the three sections, and parents who work together as a team to support the Group Scout Leader.

Responsibilities include:-

  • The purchase & maintenance of Group property
  • Raising of funds and administration of Group finances
  • Insurance covering persons, property and equipment
  • Group public occasions
  • Assisting locating and arranging accommodation at scout camp sites
  • Assisting in the recruitment of leaders and other adult support
  • Appointing any sub committees that may be required
  • Appointing Group Administrators and Advisers other than those who are elected

Like many other voluntary organisations, we can only continue with the help and support of leaders and parents; so why not come and join us as:

  • A committee member - we have around 6 meetings a year which are held on a Monday at the church hall and last normally about 2 hours
  • A helper as and when required - to assist with the various events both social and specific projects - where individual skills / trades / professions would be beneficial
  • A social and fund raising committee member - we meet occasionally to discuss ways of raising funds for the group and putting plans into action. These meetings normally take place where we can partake of beverages !!!
