Scouts

The 3rd Stoneleigh Scouts are an active troop of ten to fourteen year old young people. At present they are all boys but we would be very pleased to welcome girls as well. The troop meets once a week at our headquarters: Stoneleigh Methodist Church where a variety of enjoyable, stimulating and rewarding activities are laid on. In addition, Scouts can partake in a range of events organised by the group or district. These include camps, rock climbing, canoeing, abseiling, carting, cyclocross, etc.

Scouts wear a uniform comprising a sweatshirt, neck tie (scarf) and trousers. The sweatshirt will have various badges depending on the scout's activities and skills. The posiition of these is shown below. The troop is run by our Scout Leader who has some twenty years experience with the Scouts at Stoneleigh and he is supported by two able helpers.There is a natural migration from Cub Scouts to Scouts but entry is open to all.
