Group Camp 2007
The weekend of the 28th September was the occasion of the 2007 Family Camp at the Polyapes site, near Oxshott in Surrey. Despite a damp start overnight on Friday, the sun broke through early Saturday morning and heralded another fantastic weekend of games, fun and a seemingly endless supply of food!
This year saw many new faces, not only from within recently joined Beavers but also in the number of parents who stayed over on the Saturday night. Very pleasing – and I hope a handful will join our Group Executive meetings that facilitate occasional fund raising and social activities for the three sections.
